What is your return policy?
We accept all returns for merchandise that has not been worn and that has the original tags attached. Defective merchandise may also be returned for a full refund. Further, we provide a UPS return label to make returning even easier. If the UPS label is used a deduction of $5.95 will be taken off the refund amount. For any orders coming from outside the Continental United States, return shipping charges are the customer’s responsibility as well as $25.00 for any exchange order requested.
How do I return an item(s) I do not want?
You will find a prepaid return shipping label and returns/exchange form inside your package. Please fill out the form and indicate whether you would like a credit or exchange. If you would like an email confirmation of the credit, please include your email address on the form. You may call UPS to schedule a pick-up, or simply drop the package off at a UPS box or store. The UPS label is $5.95 or you may use the return shipping method of your choice.

When can I expect my account to be credited?
You may track your return by keeping a copy of the return shipping label, or by writing down the tracking number, and visiting www.ups.com. After the return is received at our warehouse in Miami (up to 7 days from the time you shipped it), it typically takes 2 to 3 weeks for the credit to be made to your account. Some credit cards companies take several additional days to weeks to reflect the credit.
Do you ship internationally?
Yes, there is a flat rate international shipping charge of $25.00 per order. We ship anywhere that UPS can ship. Please be aware that there may be customs fees charged by your country that Tail is not responsible for. By purchasing, the customer accepts FULL responsibility of duty or custom fees. We do not pay return shipping costs for items that are returned or exchanged on international shipments. International exchanges will be charged $25.00 for the exchange order to ship.
How will my order be shipped?
We use UPS as our shipper. After you receive your shipping confirmation/tracking information, you can track your order at (www.ups.com). UPS does not deliver to post office boxes, so please include a physical street address. Orders are shipped Monday-Friday. Expedited orders include business days only (M-F). For example, an order placed after 3 pm (EST) on Friday for which overnight delivery is requested will be shipped on Monday for delivery the following morning.
If I request an expedited shipping method, when does my order have to be received in order to ship on the same day?
Expedited orders received by 3 p.m. EST are guaranteed to ship on the same day. Orders shipped using ground service typically ship within 24 hours.
I saw a Tail item I liked but the store didn't have it in my size. What can I do?
Have the Tail retailer call our Customer Service Department to special order it for you. You can also check here, online, for the style and size you may be looking for.
I received a Tail item as a gift but it's the wrong size. How can I exchange it?
Ask the gift buyer where they purchased the item. Contact the place of purchase for information regarding their exchange policy.
What styles do you carry in larger sizes?
Most of our sizes run XS-XL and 2-18 (size 20 and XXL are available in specific styles). If your store does not carry your size in an item, please ask about their special order policy. You may also check back here as we continually update availability.
I bought a Tail garment a while ago and like the fabric/style/fit. Where can I buy the same style and does it come in different colors or patterns?
Tail's fashion merchandise is created on a seasonal basis. Our colors and styling will change to reflect the latest trends and fashions. We strive to keep our fit consistent and use many of our most successful styles and fabrics from season to season. Our Essentials line is a collection of styles and colors that are in stock on a year-round basis. Visit your nearest Tail retailer or check back here to see the latest collection.
Do I have to pay sales tax on Internet orders?
As is the case with all e-commerce sites, it depends on your location and the states in which the retailer has a presence. The shopping cart will automatically calculate and apply sales tax where necessary.
What does the "lifetime warranty" cover?
The warranty is lifetime on materials and manufacturing. Consumers must follow care instructions. If a product fails, we will replace it with product of equal or greater value. Must return defective product to retailer that product was originally purchased from. Fit is not under warranty. Fabric pilling is not covered by warranty.
